[When he sees how the letter is signed, the smile on Diarmuid's face is electric. Amusingly enough, he is also blushing slightly. There are o many things he wants to say, but in the end what he writes is just a short reply.]
Thank you. I am sorry I have no special name to share with you. Maybe you need to think of a nickname for me?
Since we spoke the other day, I have been staying on the thirty-eighth floor between patrolling the jail at night and hunting in the mornings to determine when may be the best time for us to suggest and/or plan Diarmuid meet the princess there... should he agree to, that is. Two days is not a lot of time to say definitively, but it seems like the lounge is least populated with others between the fourth and sixth hours of the afternoon, approximately before sunset. I know you wished for them to have privacy and I understand, so I believe sometime during this period would be the best time to appoint to a dinner between them. I will keep watching just to be certain.
Sincerely,
Cecil I also want to apologize for snapping at you over the network. I know you only wish for Diarmuid's happiness and I realize now that I was out of line in chastising you. I'm sorry. It was wrong of me to do, as he is your family, and even more so to do in public. I pray I did not humiliate you, for that was not my intention, and I truly am sorry.
Sincer In addition, please excuse me for prying, but are you all right? I am often only a flight of stairs away if you need anything. Any time, for any reason, you may always seek me out should you need a friend.
~Cecil
April 13th:
Are you all right? I thought it strange when you did not reply to my letter, but I presumed you were merely busy as of late. I'm sure you've seen Diarmuid's network submission by now, however, and the fact that he has not heard from you nor seen you in a few days worries me greatly. I can't imagine you would avoid him now that his curse has been deactivated, but perhaps I do not know everything that has transpired lately? Please let someone, if not me, know if you receive this. I don't care who, as long as we know you're all right.
You asked me to inform you should the Endless Witch have contact with me again. While you were missing, I made a network post asking if anyone had seen you and she responded. She and I argued before she stormed off. With everything that happened, I forgot about it until today when I found a rotten, maggot infested heart in my mailbox.
I cannot say for sure it is from her, but it does seem like the kind of thing she would do. If it were from one of the administrators, I think they would have made that clear. This had no way of telling who sent it.
I don't know that it is a threat. She just may be bored. She gets that way extremely easily.
[Though he has no idea if this is already too late to stop him.]
I said I don't think it's a threat. I just let you and Waver know because you asked me to when we talked about it. I don't know that I am in any danger, but you might be if you bother her.
P.S. When's your birthday? I wanna celebrate something with you and the next holiday is pretty far off. So if your birthday is closer we can celebrate that
[Folded in with this letter is a copy of the certificate that Cu Chulainn had gotten saying that he and Diarmuid are brothers. While it's not an exact copy, considering what tools Diarmuid had to work with it's pretty impressive. He spent several days messing with the press to get the copy as good as it could be.]
Brother,
Sorry I am getting this to you a little later than I wanted to. I wanted to make it the best I could and that required experimenting some with the press. Hopefully, it is acceptable.
Also, have you noticed a whirling or buzzing sound around the tower the last few days? It's kind of annoying, isn't it?
[Oddly enough, even though his first letter was written normally, he switches to ogham for this one.]
I am glad you like it!
I do know what it is, though I am not comfortable talking about it here. As annoying as it is, I would ask you to bear with it. For once, something odd going on in this place might actually prove beneficial to us.
Thank you. I, unfortunately, don't have an answer for that. I would hope not long because otherwise the wrong people will probably find out about it, but I don't know anything else. I wish I did. Risks like these taken without proper information make me uneasy.
And the sound is really annoying...
But in other news, if you still wish to learn how to use the press, I believe I can show you now with little problem.
